One of the major premises of VALGROUP is the preservation of environmental balance. Considering that this is a fundamental aspect of quality of life and the future of the planet, this is dealt with priority in the choice of trading partners and the adoption of measures to benefit the environment.

An example is recycling, which happens in all group companies, regardless of the manufactured product, with the recycling of scraps generated. Also in this context, we perform a work recognized and authorized by ANVISA, which is collect and recycle used PET bottles.

Using technology in favor of the environment, the grocery bags are no longer enemies of sustainability for a long time! We produce 100% returnable bags, bags made from renewable sources such as sugar cane and biodegradable bags.

Seeking new ways to optimize and save natural resources, the group invests in production processes and equipment that operate using less raw material, such as Stretch and EcoStretch produced by Valfilm, and pre-casts with a shorter finish used in the manufacture of plastic bottles and a lighter lids.

Also, VALGROUP employs, through Tecnoval Laminados, a solvent recovery system pioneered in Latin America to avoid emission of pollutant gases into the atmosphere, contributing to the reduction of environmental pollution.

To prove that technological development and environmental conservation can go together, Tecnoval Laminados was the first Latin American company to invest in a system that retrieves all the solvents obtained, generating a manufacturing process of cleaner films without eliminating pollutant gases in atmosphere.

The vapors loaded with solvent from the manufacture’s equipment are captured and sent to the recovery system, which pass through the adsorption, regeneration, condensation, ultra dehydration (elimination of water from the atmospheric moisture) and, finally, distillation processes.

The recovered solvent - already in the liquid state - once reviewed and approved, is reused by the equipments where it was initially captured.
